The Love Necklace by Alexandra Grant
Los Angeles-based artist Alexandra Grant created the Love Necklace to raise funds to support local artist-driven initiatives, such as building the Love House. The Love House is a collaborative project between Alexandra, the Cerant family, architects Roberto Sheinberg and Arnold Swanborn, and the Watts House Project (WHP).
Grant’s work uses language as the basis for images in painting, drawing and sculpture. The singular font and shape of the the Love Necklace is a copy of a sculpture of Grant’s, which embodies both the “hand-made” and the universal aspects of love.
